About Karen

Originally from the Bluegrass State of Kentucky, Karen found her way to the bright lights of New York City where she has always felt she was meant to be. Although based in the Big Apple, Karen’s thirst for adventure began in 2009 when she studied in London for a semester abroad. Like most people who study abroad, she was bitten by the travel bug and hasn’t been able to find a cure (and she’s totally okay with that).

Since her semester in the UK, she’s traveled to 15 beautiful countries including places such as Norway, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Czech Republic and Italy.

Along the way she’s realized that she has an appetite for unique treats and native cuisines everywhere she goes. And let’s be honest, her sweet tooth is her weakness and the one thing she always brings home with her is a piece of local decadent chocolate.

Her favorite part about traveling is meeting new people and experiencing diverse cultures. Most of all, she loves to inspire other like-minded wanderlusters to go out and conquer the world, just like she does.

Follow along with Karen on her never ending adventures around the world. Let her experiences be your guide as she gives you the most useful tips on eating, traveling and everything in between. Because after all you should…
